Course projects are not like homework projects as in many conventional courses. These are serious projects that should be carried out at least to the standards of commercial software development of shippable products. Therefore, course project will generally be incorporated into actual products packages released through open source licensing. Following the principle to "eat your own cooking," the initial products will be developers' tools that we will use ourselves.

Speech Application Developer's Toolkit

This product will be a set of programs and a detailed instruction book showing how to use the programs to build applications using speech recognition and speech synthesis. Writing chapters of he book as well as the programs will be part of each project.
